Chesterfield SOUP
Chesterfield SOUP is a safe space where everyone is welcomed and supported. People come together to share a simple soup supper, connect with each other and champion community-based projects through crowdfunding, creativity, collaboration and fun. We eat, talk, share ideas and create new connections in the town.
What is SOUP?
SOUP is a micro-funding event that helps communities raise money for a project in their local area.
How does SOUP Work?
Inspired by the now-famous Detroit SOUP – the premise is a simple one; cook up some soup, charge a small entry fee to all attendees, invite local people to pitch their ideas for community projects, hold a vote to select the winner, the winner goes home with the proceeds towards their project.
Who is it for?
Chesterfield SOUP suppers are open to anyone – whether you (as an individual, team or community group) need help for an idea that could benefit a community in Chesterfield, or whether you want to support a project that aims to tackle local challenges! Your idea can be about anything – ranging from art, social enterprise, education, technology and more.
This is our inaugural Chesterfield SOUP event being held as part of the SocialFuse Festival.
