In Conversation With… – a discussion about creating positive change within communities.
In association with Vicar Lane Shopping Centre, Kakou CIC presents In Conversation With…, a networking and shared-knowledge event as part of the SocialFuse Festival.
Hear the stories behind four influential and inspiring organisations who, through their activities, create social change within their communities.
You will hear from:
Dr Barbara Tomasella – a Senior Lecturer in Marketing at the University of Derby. Barbara specialises in Corporate Social Responsibility and social enterprenuership. Barbara is leading the University’s vision to encourage more responsible and ethical practices across businesses and society at large.
Jenny Raschbauer – Project Director at Community Chesterfield. Community Chesterfield is collaborative partnership between Derbyshire Voluntary Action and the University of Derby with the aim of bringing Chesterfield’s community organisations, local businesses and the University together to strengthen the local health, social care and business sectors.
Hannah Bowdler – Relationship Fundraiser at Junction Arts. Hannah helps local people and businesses make a positive impact on their communities with Junction Arts – a place-based charity, creating work with people to improve well-being and inspire change. Their festivals, workshops, and events offer the chance for people to be creative, learn new skills and build stronger communities.
Sian Spencer-Bray – founder and Lead Psychotherapist at the Therapy and Lifestyle Clinic (TLC). TLC was created to support individuals with their mental health needs. TLC supports it’s clients by ensuring that they have access to a standard of professional support required to better themselves.
