2025
Reimagining Wellbeing
This year’s theme, Reimagining Wellbeing, brought together social enterprises, grassroots organisations, artists, businesses and residents to explore fresh ideas, share experiences and inspire new ways of supporting one another.
Highlights included:
- The SocialFuse Conference, our flagship event, where regional and national speakers shared insights and sparked conversations around inclusion, health and community power.
- Workshops, talks and taster sessions focusing on wellbeing, inclusion and financial resilience.
- Chat & Connect meet-ups in local cafés, encouraging people to build new connections in informal, welcoming spaces.
- Creative and family-friendly activities, designed to showcase the role of arts and culture in community wellbeing.
All events were free to attend, with accessibility, BSL interpretation and community hospitality at the heart of the programme.
The festival created meaningful connections, showcased inspiring local projects and left a lasting legacy of ideas and collaborations. Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make SocialFuse Festival 2025 a success.
The Conference
With the theme of Reimagining Wellbeing – from mental health and social connection to inclusive design, green spaces, and economic justice, we explored how wellbeing is being redefined across sectors.
Speakers included Jenni French (East Midlands Combined County Authority), Vikki Nolan and Sharlene Rudd (Role Resolve & University of Derby), Rachel Shaw (Deafinitely Women), and Tina Poyzer (Coin Jar Community). They shared insights on inclusion, creativity, financial wellbeing, and the power of lived experience in shaping meaningful change.
The afternoon workshops gave delegates the chance to dive deeper, with hands-on activities and open discussions on reimagining wellbeing through money, mindset and community action.
Lunch was provided by Soresby Street Café, a local independent business championing fresh, locally sourced food and community spirit.
Thank you to everyone who joined us and contributed to making the 2025 Conference such an inspiring day
